Sell Sheets for Authors
Authors use sell sheets to describe their book and entice booksellers, librarians, and others to order it. This is a marketing document, so you want it to have a clear and professional-looking design while also sparking interest in your book. Some authors create their own sell sheets. If you’re short on time or don’t feel confident designing one, you can hire me!
I have a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Boston University’s College of Communication, and I teach an online course about Canva for Authors through The Writing Barn. Here are some sell sheets I’ve created (click to view full size).
I work with self-published and traditionally published authors. The process below is for a single-sided sell sheet (8.5 x 11 inches) describing one book. You will recieve one print-ready PDF and an editable Canva file. Email me if you’d like pricing for a multi-page sell sheet or a sell sheet describing multiple books.
The Process
- Pay for your sell sheet: Pricing will increase in 2025, so pay now to lock in 2024 pricing!
- Send me your book graphics and other information via this intake form.
- Once I receive your form submission, I will email you an invoice containing a secure payment link. You can pay via credit card, debit card, or PayPal. Work on your shell sheet begins after I receive payment.
- Regular Processing: 1 week from receipt of payment & intake form ($50)
- Pricing includes one round of revisions. Once you receive your sell sheet via email, take up to a week to review it and email me any changes.
