Biography

I've always been passionate about storytelling on the page and the stage. Growing up outside of Boston, I wrote stories and directed my dolls and little brother in backyard productions. I also lived in New Mexico, Washington state, and Western Canada before putting down roots in Austin, Texas. 

After earning a Bachelor’s in Communication from Boston University and working as a freelance writer for over a decade, I shifted my focus to children’s books, honing my craft at The Writing Barn under founder Bethany Hegedus and eventually becoming their Client Success Manager. My goal is to spread kindness and curiosity through my books.

Outside of writing, I have assistant directed shows at a private middle school and frequently perform professionally as a singer and actor. I'm a proud member of the Paramount Story Wranglers, a troupe of professional actors, singers, and improvisers who bring young writers’ stories to life onstage. These experiences lend a theatrical flair to my story times and school visits.
